This fantastic free annual event is set to transform our beautiful Botanic Gardens into a hub of autumnal celebration on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September, running from 12:30pm to 5:30pm on both days.

One of the standout attractions will undoubtedly be the annual Autumn Flower Show. Prepare to be amazed by stunning prize-winning autumnal blooms, impressively giant seasonal vegetables, and breathtaking floral art displays. This year is extra special, as it marks the 40th Anniversary Exhibition of the Northern Ireland Bonsai Society. They’ll be on hand with expert bonsai advice, live demonstrations, and beautiful calligraphy, celebrating four decades of miniature tree artistry.

Beyond the horticultural wonders, there's a packed schedule of entertainment. You can look forward to live music from popular acts like The Professionals and The Drifters, adding a lively soundtrack to your visit. Plus, don't miss the chance to explore local stalls showcasing the incredible talent and produce our city has to offer – a great opportunity to support local!

The event also ties in with the European Heritage Open Days weekend, offering a unique historical twist. Take advantage of free, ticketed historical tours of Botanic Gardens and its magnificent glasshouses, where you’ll also be serenaded by performances from acclaimed local harpist Ursula Burns. For the creatively inclined, there's an opportunity to sign up in advance for engaging watercolour workshops held in both the stunning Tropical Ravine and the iconic Palm House.

If you're keen on eco-friendly living, the Sustainable Living Emporium is a must-visit. Here, you can enjoy inspiring cookery demonstrations, hands-on willow workshops, and engaging planting activities. There will also be free books and valuable lifestyle advice to help you embrace a more sustainable way of life. It’s a wonderful chance to connect with nature, learn something new, and enjoy our city’s vibrant community spirit as the seasons change.
