North Belfast is preparing for a significant event as The WiB Group announces its annual Chair’s Lunch, set to take place on Friday, January 23, 2026, at the iconic Titanic Belfast. This prestigious gathering, themed 'Leading with Legacy', will convene over 400 senior leaders, members, partners, and stakeholders from across Northern Ireland’s vibrant business community.
The Chair's Lunch serves as a vital platform for business leaders to reflect on collective progress, share strategic insights, and reinforce The WiB Group’s ongoing dedication to fostering an inclusive economy. This commitment is championed through its four key business units: Women in Business, Diversity Mark, Timely Careers, and the Centre of Learning.
The event will feature insightful remarks from outgoing Chair of The WiB Group, Nichola Robinson, alongside a distinguished panel of speakers including Chris Conway, Dr Theresa Donaldson, Eleanor Hudson, and a senior representative from Queen’s University Belfast. Each will share their unique perspectives on effective leadership, innovation, and the evolving landscape of business.
Speaking ahead of the lunch, Nichola Robinson emphasised the importance of the occasion: “The Chair’s Lunch is an important opportunity to recognise The WiB Group’s achievements, strengthen strategic relationships, and reaffirm our shared ambition to create a more inclusive and prosperous economy for Northern Ireland.”
Attendees will also benefit from high-level networking, connecting with influential decision-makers from the public, private, and third sectors. This provides a unique environment for forward-thinking discussions, the exchange of innovative ideas, and the exploration of new collaborative ventures.
Belfast Harbour proudly sponsors the event as the headline partner, joined by a strong roster of associate sponsors including Queen’s University Belfast, Translink, Glandore, and BT.
Dr Theresa Donaldson, Chair of Belfast Harbour Commissioners, shared her enthusiasm for the partnership: “Belfast Harbour is delighted to support The WiB Group as the title sponsor for the annual Chair’s Lunch. This event offers a fantastic opportunity to forge new connections and exchange fresh ideas around this year’s theme of ‘Leading with Legacy’.
“Events like this allow us to share our experiences, understand the challenges women face in business, and consider positive actions we can take to ensure women’s voices are heard everywhere and at all levels. We eagerly anticipate the valuable insights this event will offer into how we can all collaborate to further advance women in business,” she added.
