Belfast united in remembrance this past Sunday, 9 November, as the city gathered for its annual Remembrance Sunday service at City Hall. Lord Mayor Councillor Tracy Kelly led the poignant ceremony, honouring the sacrifices of those who served.
During the solemn event, the Lord Mayor laid a wreath at the cenotaph situated within the Garden of Remembrance. As a further tribute, the cenotaph was beautifully lit in red throughout Sunday evening, creating a powerful visual reminder of the day's significance.
The commemorations will continue with a dedicated service on Tuesday, 11 November, marking Armistice Day. This event will also take place at City Hall, beginning at 11am, providing another opportunity for our community to pay its respects.
