Mark your calendars, North Belfast! Belfast's much-loved Spring Fair is back, ready to whisk you away on an enchanting 'Down the Rabbit Hole' adventure with an Alice in Wonderland theme. This fantastic free family event will transform Malone House and Barnett Demesne into a whimsical world on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 April 2026, from 1.30pm to 5.30pm on both days.
Prepare to step through the looking glass and immerse yourselves in a celebration of music, arts, and family-friendly fun. There’s a host of activities to enjoy, including the vibrant Spring Flower Show, encounters with curious characters, live music and entertainment, a chance to meet farmyard animals, and explore tempting food and craft stalls. Plus, you can try your hand at circus skills, admire beautiful floral art, and get active in the sports zone – there’s truly something for everyone!
Launching the event, Belfast Lord Mayor, Councillor Tracy Kelly, shared her excitement, saying: “Our annual free Spring Fair is always a highlight in Belfast's event calendar, and this year’s Alice in Wonderland theme adds an extra layer of magic and imagination. It’s a fantastic opportunity for families and friends to visit our beautiful Malone House, enjoy the gardens, and experience everything from beautiful blooms to lively entertainment.”
Please note, there is no parking available at Malone House and Barnett Demesne during the Spring Fair. However, a convenient free park and ride service will be operating from Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park. The first bus to depart from Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park will be at 1pm, with the last bus leaving Barnett Demesne at 5.45pm.
Alternatively, you can take advantage of Translink services from Donegall Square East in the city centre. On Saturday, Metro Bus 8A or 8B will get you there, and on Sunday, the Metro 8A runs every 30 minutes. Be sure to check the Translink website for the most up-to-date information on routes and timings.
