Belfast Tech Innovator StormHarvester Unveils New City Centre Headquarters

Local tech company StormHarvester has officially opened its new state-of-the-art headquarters in Belfast city centre. This expansion, marked by the Lord Mayor, signifies significant growth for the company, which specializes in preventing flooding and pollution for wastewater utilities globally. It's a boost for Belfast's innovation sector and will support their growing 100-strong team.

Belfast is celebrating a significant boost to its thriving tech sector with the official opening of StormHarvester’s brand-new headquarters at 10 Mays Meadow. The state-of-the-art facility was proudly opened by the Lord Mayor of Belfast, Councillor Tracy Kelly, on February 26, 2026, marking a major milestone for this innovative local company.

StormHarvester is at the forefront of tackling critical environmental challenges. They develop advanced technology that helps wastewater utilities predict and prevent serious issues like flooding and pollution before they even occur. By analysing data from thousands of sensors, their system provides precise, actionable insights, ultimately protecting our communities and saving costs for essential services, right here in the UK and Ireland, and increasingly across the globe.

This exciting move reflects StormHarvester's rapid growth and commitment to scaling its operations, both locally and internationally, particularly into markets like Australia and New Zealand. The new headquarters will serve as the central hub for their operations, supporting a dedicated team of 100 people and strengthening their capacity to deliver vital services. Designed to foster collaboration and innovation, the space is set to support future recruitment and continued expansion.

Brian Moloney, Founder & CEO of StormHarvester, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Opening our new headquarters in Belfast represents an important step in our journey. As we continue to grow, this new base gives us the space and infrastructure needed to support our team and deliver even greater value to our clients, both in the UK and globally.”

The company’s impressive development has been underpinned by recent achievements, including being ranked number one in the Deloitte 2025 Technology Fast 50, and doubling its headcount throughout 2025. This growth has been significantly fuelled by a successful ‘Series A’ investment round and crucial funding from Invest Northern Ireland and Techstart Ventures, who have been pivotal partners over the past nine years.

Kieran Donoghue, CEO of Invest NI, highlighted the long-standing partnership: “Invest NI’s relationship with StormHarvester goes back almost ten years. We are proud of the work we have done together to support the company to innovate, develop its product offering and grow the team and overall capabilities. I wish Brian and everyone at StormHarvester continued success as they use this new office to implement their strategy and deliver industry-leading solutions to clients around the world.”

This expansion not only solidifies StormHarvester’s position as a leader in its field but also reinforces Belfast’s reputation as a hub for cutting-edge technology and a place where innovative businesses can thrive and make a real difference.
