The North Belfast community is mourning the loss of a local woman in her 70s following a collision in Ardoyne on Tuesday. Our thoughts are with the family and friends affected by this tragic event.

The North Belfast community is in mourning following the tragic news of a fatal road traffic collision in Ardoyne on Tuesday afternoon. A local woman, aged in her 70s, lost her life following an incident involving a lorry in the Ardoyne Avenue area shortly after 2:30 PM on March 24.
Emergency services attended the scene immediately, but sadly, the woman was pronounced deceased at the location. While the area was closed to traffic for several hours to allow for an initial investigation, all roads have since been reopened to the public.
The PSNI Collision Investigation Unit is currently working to establish the circumstances surrounding the accident. They are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who might have dashcam or other digital footage from the area at the time to come forward.
