Local residents and commuters are advised to expect significant delays in North Belfast following a two-vehicle collision on the Crumlin Road on Monday afternoon, 22nd June.
Emergency services, including the PSNI, Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, and the Ambulance Service, are currently at the scene. To allow our emergency crews to work safely, the road has been closed in both directions between the Ardoyne shopfronts and Tennent Street.
Witnesses at the scene observed fire crews working to safely extract an occupant from one of the vehicles involved, a red car. Local drivers are being strongly advised to avoid the area entirely and seek alternative routes for their journeys to help ease congestion.
Our thoughts are with everyone involved in the collision, and we hope for a swift and safe clearance of the area. We will keep the community updated as soon as the road reopens.
