Local residents are advised that the Crumlin Road has now fully reopened following a serious one-vehicle collision that occurred on Saturday evening, April 18. Emergency services were called to the scene near the junction with Upper Hightown Road shortly before 6:00 pm to attend to the incident.
The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service responded promptly, dispatching an emergency crew alongside two Hazardous Area Response Teams (HART). The HEMS team was also tasked to the scene, arriving via response car to provide specialist medical support. Following initial assessment and treatment at the site, one person was transported to the Royal Victoria Hospital.
While the road was closed throughout Saturday night to allow emergency teams to work safely, police confirmed on Sunday morning that the area is now clear and traffic is flowing as normal. We wish those involved a full and speedy recovery and thank our local emergency services for their swift action.
