Emergency Services Attend Terraced House Fire in New Lodge

Emergency services responded to a house fire in North Belfast this evening following an incident on Victoria Parade in the New Lodge area.

Firefighters from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) were called out after smoke was seen rising from terraced properties along the street. The blaze originated on an upper floor and began spreading to neighbouring homes before emergency crews intervened.

A total of four appliances were dispatched to the scene, with firefighters working quickly to halt the spread of the fire and protect adjacent properties. A spokesperson for the NIFRS confirmed that two people suffered minor injuries as a result of the fire.

Operations at Victoria Parade have since been wound down, with emergency crews making the area safe before standing down from the scene.
