One of Belfast's most cherished establishments, The Errigle Inn, is proudly celebrating an incredible 90 years serving the community on the Ormeau Road. This beloved South Belfast pub, which first opened its doors in 1935, is a true local landmark and a testament to enduring hospitality.

To mark this significant milestone, The Errigle Inn has planned a full day of festivities on Saturday, December 13th. Friends, family, and loyal customers are invited to enjoy a packed programme of live music, entertainment, and a few surprises designed as a heartfelt thank you for decades of support.

The celebrations extend throughout December, with customers encouraged to share their fondest Errigle memories online. You can also pick up exclusive 90th-anniversary commemorative merchandise, including t-shirts, tote bags, beer mats, and a limited-edition glass, all featuring stunning illustrations by local designer Paul McNally. As a special thank you, grab a £100 Errigle gift card for just £90 at the bar during December. The goodwill continues into the New Year with a range of themed offers beginning on Monday, January 5th, perfect for post-Christmas budgets.

The Errigle's rich history is deeply intertwined with the McGurran family, who have stewarded the pub for three generations. Phil McGurran continues the legacy of his grandfather, TJ, and father, Philip, ensuring the tradition of warm hospitality lives on. Over the decades, The Errigle has evolved from a traditional local public house into a vibrant, multifaceted venue, offering great food, drink, and live entertainment that truly reflects the changing heart of Belfast's social scene.

Looking ahead, The Errigle Inn isn't resting on its laurels. Plans are underway for a significant redevelopment in 2026, which includes a brand-new ground-floor space. This exciting addition will cater to the growing demand from local residents for places to meet, work, relax, and connect during daytime hours, ensuring The Errigle remains at the heart of the community for generations to come.

Commenting on the milestone, Phil McGurran shared his pride: “Reaching 90 years is something we’re incredibly proud of as a family. The Errigle has always been more than a pub; it’s a gathering place, a part of people’s stories, and a fixture on the Ormeau Road. We’re delighted to celebrate this milestone with the people who make the pub what it is, and we’re excited for what the future holds as we look toward our next chapter.”
