Exciting hospitality news is on the horizon for North Belfast, as popular burger spot HiBurger has announced plans to launch its very first standalone bricks-and-mortar restaurant right here on the Antrim Road.
The upcoming venture marks a special homecoming for founders Anthony and Matt, who both hail from North Belfast. HiBurger originally started in 2021 as a casual food blog between the two friends before evolving into high-demand pop-up food kitchens across the city, serving diners at Banana Block in East Belfast and The Boneyard in Belfast City Centre.
To focus fully on establishing their new Antrim Road home, HiBurger confirmed they will be wrapping up operations at both of their current pop-up locations. Taking to social media to share the news, the owners expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported them over the years, offering particular thanks to the East Belfast community where their trading journey first took off.
The new Antrim Road site will feature a fully licensed, sit-in dining space. Anthony and Matt highlighted that the emphasis will be placed as much on creating an exceptional, welcoming customer experience as on serving their signature quality food.
Both founders shared their excitement about contributing directly to the flourishing local food and hospitality scene in their home district. The new restaurant is scheduled to open its doors in mid-October, with an official opening date due to be confirmed in the near future.
