Local Hotel Group Andras Takes Over ibis budget Belfast City Centre

Northern Ireland's largest hotel group, Andras Hotels, has officially taken over the operation of the ibis budget Belfast City Centre hotel. This strategic move further expands their significant presence across Belfast, boosting local hospitality options. The popular Dublin Road hotel offers budget-friendly, pet-friendly stays with round-the-clock amenities.

Big news for Belfast's hospitality scene! Andras Hotels, Northern Ireland's largest hotel group, has officially taken over the operations of the popular ibis budget Belfast City Centre hotel. This exciting development sees a locally significant company further strengthening its presence right here in our city, particularly on the vibrant Dublin Road.

Andras Hotels, which acquired the building earlier in 2024, will now operate the 146-bedroom hotel under a franchise agreement with Accor, a world leader in hospitality. This addition makes it the fourth Accor-branded property managed by Andras Hotels in Northern Ireland, alongside ibis Coleraine Riverside, ibis Belfast City Centre (the original), and ibis Belfast Queens Quarter. The ibis budget brand is known for being a smart, economical choice, perfect for 'everyday adventurers' looking for comfort without breaking the bank.

Guests at the ibis budget Belfast City Centre can look forward to 146 air-conditioned bedrooms, a convenient 24-hour reception, and food served around the clock – from a continental breakfast to delicious late-night pizzas. There's also a full bar service available. The hotel offers a variety of rooms including double, twin, and family options, and is proudly pet-friendly, making it ideal for a wide range of visitors.

Rajesh Rana of Andras Hotels expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “We are delighted to add this wonderful asset to our family of hotels. It's in a fantastic location, right by the City Centre and next to an exciting area of new development on the bustling Dublin Road. The team, expertly led by manager Jackie Kelly, are doing an excellent job, making it a busy and popular choice for visitors.” Cristina de Oliveira-Frewen from Accor also praised the long-standing partnership with Andras Hotels, highlighting their commitment to affordable and comfortable travel.

This takeover is just one part of Andras Hotels' ongoing investment in the region. The group recently opened The Marcus Portrush this summer, just in time for The Open golf championship, and they are currently developing a brand-new aparthotel on Belfast's Great Victoria Street, under Accor’s Adagio brand. These continuous developments underscore Andras Hotels' dedication to boosting our local economy and providing top-notch hospitality.
