Lord Mayor of Belfast, Councillor Tracy Kelly, has taken a significant stand against violence towards women by signing the White Ribbon Pledge at City Hall. This important commitment underscores the council's dedication to creating a safer environment for everyone in our community.
By signing, Councillor Kelly pledged never to condone or remain silent about violence against women. She was joined by Lucy McKeown from White Ribbon NI, along with Chief Executive John Walsh and Director of Human Resources Christine Sheridan, highlighting a united front on this critical issue.

Furthermore, the council holds platinum status in Onus’ workplace charter, recognising its exemplary practices in addressing domestic violence within the workplace.
