A man has been arrested in our community following a concerning incident in the Woodvale area on Monday, April 7. Local police were called to the scene after reports that an individual, armed with a knife, was attempting to gain access to a property.
Officers arrived promptly and, after a brief foot chase, successfully detained the suspect nearby. A subsequent search of the individual led to the discovery of a knife, a knuckle duster, and a quantity of drugs. The man was arrested on suspicion of several offences, including possession of an offensive weapon.
Emphasising the seriousness of the situation, local officers highlighted that carrying weapons like these does not offer protection but instead puts lives at risk. They reiterated their commitment to keeping our North Belfast streets safe and acting quickly when incidents occur.
