Multi-award-winning Salt Kitchen in Banbridge is marking a fantastic double milestone this year, celebrating ten years in business and one successful year in its expanded new home at The Boulevard. The restaurant's landmark relocation last year saw it double in size, moving just metres within the popular outlet mall to a striking new 175-seat space.
This expansion has proven to be transformational, resulting in an exceptional year of trading and firmly establishing Salt Kitchen as one of Northern Ireland’s leading hospitality success stories. The larger space has allowed the team to elevate their offering across every touchpoint – from enhanced interiors and increased seating to greater kitchen capacity and exciting menu innovations.
Over the past year, the team has introduced new seasonal dishes, curated tasting experiences, and popular supper clubs, all while maintaining its unwavering commitment to premium local produce, fresh seafood, and quality meats. The expansion also brought about the creation of 15 new jobs, growing the dedicated team to 45 strong. This reinforces Salt Kitchen’s commitment to investing in its people, delivering service excellence, and boosting the local economy.
Gary Scott, Chef/Director of Salt Kitchen, shared his pride: “Reaching ten years in business is something we’re incredibly proud of. Moving into our new space last year gave us the platform to grow properly – creatively and commercially. The past year has exceeded expectations, and it’s given us real confidence as we look to the future.”
With strong trading performance and continued demand, Salt Kitchen is now exploring further opportunities for growth, building on a decade of remarkable success. As proud members of Food Heartland and Food NI, Salt Kitchen continues to champion Northern Ireland produce, attracting diners from across the region to The Boulevard and its neighbouring Omniplex, which is also celebrating ten years in 2026. This further strengthens its reputation as a true destination restaurant.
Salt Kitchen extends an invitation to customers and the local community to celebrate this significant milestone and experience the next exciting chapter of dining at The Boulevard. Bookings can be made online via their website.
