The inquest into the tragic death of Belfast schoolboy Noah Donohoe is continuing at Belfast Coroner’s Court, marking the third week of official hearings. Noah was just 14 years old when he was found deceased in a storm drain in 2020, and the proceedings aim to establish the full circumstances surrounding his passing.
This week, the court has been hearing crucial evidence, primarily from members of the Police Service. On Tuesday, testimony was given by the first police officer who visited the Donohoe family home after Noah was reported missing.
During the Tuesday session, the police officer defended the notes taken during that initial meeting with Noah’s mother. This evidence was reviewed closely by the court as part of the overall investigation into the events leading up to the discovery of the young boy.
Today's inquest hearing (Wednesday) is due to get underway shortly. The court will hear further details regarding the circumstances surrounding Noah’s death as the proceedings continue. The North Belfast community remains unified in supporting the Donohoe family through this difficult and painstaking judicial process.
