Jordan Frampton, of Downview Gardens , had previously pleaded guilty to offences of attempted rape and causing a female to engage in sexual activity. Belfast Crown Court heard the victim contacted police on October 2, 2024, to report that she had been sexually abused by 44-year-old Frampton. Prosecution barrister David McNeill said she told police that Frampton would contact her sporadically. "He would send her sexually explicit messages and would bombard her with what she described as 'dirty pictures' along with his sexual fantasies.'' The court heard he contacted her in the early hours of September 28, 2024, when he asked if he could come over and use her shower. When he came out of the shower he was wearing underwear and a fishnet suit and sat beside her on the sofa in the living room. "She reported that she didn't know what to do. He asked her to squeeze his private parts but she was reluctant to do so and the defendant was insistent that she did,'' said Mr McNeill. "He had brought some cocaine to the house and taken it but the victim didn't take any. She said that his demeanour then changed and he had a threatening tone and a scary look on his face. "The defendant told her to take off her clothes and moved her towards a window which looked out on to a park. "He told her to open the blinds and she did so. She tried to duck down so that her breasts would not be exposed to passersby. "He then came up behind her, pulled her ponytail and attempted to rape her. She said she was crying at this stage.'' Following her complaint to police, Frampton was arrested on Friday, October 4, 2024. He claimed he hadn't seen the victim the previous weekend. At a further interview he changed his story to say he had been at her house and they just talked for a couple of hours and claimed they had sex but it was consensual. He admitted taking cocaine at her house, stating: "It f***s with my mind.'' In a victim impact statement, the woman stated: "My trust in men is now zero. I no longer know or believe what their intentions are if they speak to me or offer me any help. I'm left with fragile nerves, paranoia and nausea. "I have difficulty getting to sleep at night and replay this in my mind and have flashbacks. "The overall impact of this incident has led to an erosion in my sense of safety and security which has affected my physical and mental health and my ability to function in my daily life.'' Senior defence counsel Kieran Mallon KC said the defendant appears to have "engaged in a positive way'' in prison, has expressed remorse and has achieved enhanced prisoner status in Magilligan jail. Judge Gordon Kerr KC said the aggravating factors in the case were the degradation of the victim, the offences were committed in her own home where she should have felt safe, he committed the offences while under the influence of drugs and he also has recent relevant convictions. The Probation Board held a risk management meeting in June and stated that Frampton remained a significant risk of serious harm to the public in the future. ‌ Frampton is currently on the sex offenders register for life after he was jailed last year for four years for sex offences committed against another female. He was also found to be a danger to the public. The defendant was also made the subject of a two-year supervision order on his release from custody. Judge Kerr said his sentence of two years in custody followed by one year on licence would run consecutively to the sentence handed down in June 2025.
