If you’re heading out across North Belfast this week, make sure you have the umbrella handy, as the forecast suggests a pattern of cloud and showers will dominate the skies.
Monday, January 19th, is expected to start off quite wet, with patches of rain showers that could turn heavy during the morning commute. Thankfully, the afternoon looks set to bring some drier conditions, offering a small respite.
This unsettled pattern is expected to continue throughout the week. Tuesday, January 20th, will also be cloudy and potentially wet. We should also prepare for the wind to pick up; forecasters note that winds will strengthen, particularly noticeable as we move into Wednesday.
The general outlook suggests that bands of rain and showers will push across the area, interspersed occasionally with welcome spells of drier and brighter weather.
On the bright side, temperatures are set to remain relatively mild for January. Highs are expected to reach around nine degrees Celsius, with temperatures generally not dropping below seven degrees, meaning we won't be dealing with severe cold.
