Police Appeal Following Serious Incident on Ambleside Street

Detectives are investigating an aggravated burglary that took place on Ambleside Street on Friday evening. Local residents are encouraged to share any information or footage that may assist with the ongoing investigation.

Detectives are appealing for information from the North Belfast community following a serious aggravated burglary on Ambleside Street. The incident occurred on Friday, May 1, shortly after 9:40 pm when a group of masked men entered a local home. During the encounter, two male occupants were assaulted with hammers, crowbars, and a machete. Both men were subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment of cuts and bruising.

Following the assault, the attackers are believed to have fled the scene in the direction of Upper Charleville Street. This is a distressing incident for our neighborhood, and police are working to identify those responsible. They are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen anything suspicious.
