A man in his 30s was hospitalised with serious injuries following an attack on Ardoyne Road on Monday night. Local police are calling for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward to help with their investigation.

A local man is recovering in hospital following a serious assault on Ardoyne Road late on Monday night, April 20th. The victim, who is in his 30s, was walking in the area at approximately 11:30 PM when a silver Volkswagen Polo pulled up alongside him. Three men, armed with weapons including a claw hammer and a metal bat, exited the vehicle and carried out the assault before fleeing the scene in the car.
The victim sustained fractures and lacerations during the incident and was subsequently treated in hospital for his injuries. One of the attackers is described as being of a heavy build and was wearing a dark-coloured mask at the time of the incident.
Detectives believe there were other vehicles in the vicinity when the attack occurred and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the event or captured dashcam footage to get in touch. Information from the community can be vital in these investigations.
