Police Appeal After Serious Assault on New Lodge Road

Local police are appealing for information following a deeply concerning incident in the New Lodge area on Sunday evening, June 21st. Detectives are currently investigating a serious assault that took place inside a residential property on the New Lodge Road, which has left a young local man with severe injuries.

At approximately 9:20pm, police received a report that a man in his 20s had been tied up inside a property and subjected to a violent assault by two men. During the ordeal, the victim was strangled with a towel and sustained serious facial injuries.

Detective Inspector McCartan has confirmed that active enquiries are underway to establish the full circumstances surrounding this shocking attack.
