The PSNI is calling on North Belfast residents for help following a serious incident that occurred in the Ardoyne Avenue area over the weekend, resulting in a man being stabbed in the hand.
Police received a report around 2am on Sunday, December 14, 2025, that the assault had taken place. Officers quickly attended the scene, supported by colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.
Detectives investigating the incident believe that numerous members of the public were present at the time and are likely to have witnessed the events unfold.
A police spokesperson stressed the importance of community assistance: “Our enquiries are ongoing, and we urgently appeal to anyone who saw what happened, or who might have any information which could assist us. This includes anyone who may have dash-cam footage, CCTV, or other relevant recordings.”
