A man was taken to hospital this morning, Wednesday, January 21st, after being stabbed in the Woodland Avenue area of North Belfast. Police are currently investigating the serious assault and are appealing to local residents for any information or footage that could assist their enquiries.

Residents in North Belfast are being asked to assist police following a serious incident in the Woodland Avenue area early this morning, Wednesday, January 21, 2026.
Emergency services were called to the scene in the early hours after reports that a man had been stabbed in the abdomen. The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service attended alongside PSNI officers, and the injured man was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.
Police have confirmed that their enquiries into the stabbing are ongoing. They are appealing specifically to local residents who might have information, including any available CCTV, dash-cam, or other footage, that could help the investigation.
