A 33-year-old man is in custody following a reported fight in the Waring Street area on Thursday afternoon. One individual was treated for injuries to his head and hand after the incident.

Police in North Belfast were called to the Waring Street area on Thursday afternoon following reports of an altercation between two men. The incident, which occurred around 4:40 pm, resulted in one man sustaining injuries to the side of his head and his hand after allegedly being slashed.
Officers arrived quickly at the scene to manage the situation and provide assistance. A 33-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and for possessing a bladed or pointed article in a public place.
At this time, the suspect remains in police custody as investigations continue. We will keep the North Belfast community updated as more information becomes available regarding this incident.
