Police continue investigation following death of 11-year-old Mason Keilhauer Mason was killed following a collision on Shankill Road in March 18:35, 07 Jul 2026 Police have said they are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of 11-year-old Mason Keilhauer following a collision. The popular schoolboy died in hospital after he was knocked down on the , close to the junction with Dover Street, on March 7. His death caused an outpouring of grief through the local community and he is remembered as a "precious son" and "loving brother". A 34-year-old man was arrested following the collision and later released by officers "pending further police enquiries." Now four months after Mason's death, police say the investigation is still ongoing with a spokesperson saying: "Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Collision Investigation Unit are continuing to investigate the circumstances of this collision and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or to anyone who may have CCTV or other footage that could assist with enquiries, to contact 101 quoting reference number 1365 07/03/26."
