The historic Sailortown district was buzzing on Friday evening as local residents, families, and even plenty of four-legged friends gathered at Barrow Square in Clarendon Dock for the popular Belfast Night Market. The bustling market marked the spectacular opening event of the Sailortown Festival 2026, setting a fantastic tone for the weekend ahead.
Designed to celebrate the rich, storied history of Sailortown alongside the vibrant music and community spirit that thrives in the area today, the festival brought people together from across North Belfast and beyond. Attendees enjoyed a wonderful atmosphere, browsing stalls and catching up with neighbours as the weekend got underway.
The celebrations don't stop there. The festival continues throughout the weekend with a speciality market, culminating in a grand family fun day on Sunday, June 7, from 12pm to 4pm. It is a fantastic opportunity to support local vendors, explore our historic docks, and enjoy a brilliant day out with the whole family.
