Detectives are appealing for information following two separate robberies involving a knife that took place in North Belfast on Sunday, December 28th. The incidents occurred on Westland Road and Oldpark Road, and police are investigating whether they may be linked. Residents are urged to review CCTV or come forward with any potential details.

Detectives based at Musgrave Station are reaching out to the North Belfast community for information following reports of two armed robberies that occurred on commercial premises this past Sunday, December 28th, 2025.
The first incident was reported shortly before 11:25 am on the Westland Road. A man armed with a knife entered the premises and demanded both money and cigarettes. He subsequently fled the scene with a quantity of cash. Witnesses described the suspect as being aged around 40 years old, of stocky build, and wearing a navy coloured tracksuit.
The second robbery took place later that afternoon, around 1:50 pm, on the Oldpark Road. In this instance, a man also armed with a knife entered a commercial premises and made off with a sum of cash. The suspect in this incident was reported to be dressed in a grey or light blue tracksuit.
Detective Sergeant Long confirmed that enquiries are ongoing and detectives are actively investigating the possibility that these two reports may be linked, given the similarity in the method and timing.
We are urging anyone who was in the Westland Road or Oldpark Road areas on Sunday and noticed anything suspicious, or who might have dashcam or CCTV footage, to come forward.
