Time is running out to have your say on 'Belfast Stories', a landmark project set to transform our city centre! Residents across North Belfast and beyond are encouraged to share their thoughts on the exciting plans for this new cultural and regeneration hub, with just two weeks left before the formal consultation period closes on Thursday, 5th February 2026.
Planned for Royal Avenue, on the site of the former Bank of Ireland building and surrounding area, 'Belfast Stories' promises to be a major new visitor attraction, a vibrant creative hub, and a welcoming public space right in the heart of our city. This ambitious project, earmarked for a 2030 opening, represents a £100 million investment and is a key part of the Belfast Region City Deal.
Once complete, 'Belfast Stories' is expected to draw hundreds of thousands of visitors annually, creating new job opportunities and significantly boosting city centre regeneration. This isn't just a development; it's a chance to tell our city's unique narrative in a dedicated, state-of-the-art space.
Councillor Tracy Kelly, Lord Mayor of Belfast, has personally urged everyone to get involved, saying, 'This is a once-in-a-generation project for our city, and we want as many people as possible to help shape what it becomes. Whether you live, work, or simply care about Belfast, please go online, take a look at the latest proposals, and have your say before the consultation closes. This is your chance to influence how we tell Belfast’s stories and create a space that belongs to everyone.'
