Belfast Print Workshop is a city-centre print studio established in 1977, located in the heart of Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter. Housed in a historic former warehouse, the spacious, accessible workshop is equipped with traditional and contemporary printmaking equipment and is committed to a low-toxic environment. The organisation offers a variety of courses for all ability levels. A membership programme provides access to equipment, materials, and a network of artists. In 2020, an in-house gallery space was opened to exhibit work from members and visiting artists. The workshop delivers a year-round programme of exhibitions and events that showcases diverse printmaking techniques from both emerging and established artists. It also maintains a significant historical archive of prints from every edition printed at the workshop, which serves as a cultural resource for the region.
